Chloe Belle
(Bree x General)
Chloe Belle is Bree's daughter, and a very loyal, hard working farm dog. Through the day, she will faithfully follow from one job to the next. VERY agile and intelligent like her mother, Bree (English Shepherd). Chloe has a powerful build, exhibiting both strength and stamina for her duties. Chloe is the best cattle dog on the farm! She has an extremely strong drive, which plays to her benefit for the rougher tasks. Even with the most obstinate bull - she can handle it, moves things right along. Will not back down or let the cows or hogs trample you. If you need her to hold the gate and not let them barrel in – she is an able dog. Fearless.
As a companion, she has been dependable. Any member of the family can take the most remote trails on foot/ horseback and not be afraid of wildlife, strangers, or whatnot. Chloe… is a true-natured guardian, with a strong a sense of duty. I can go anywhere and not tell her – she has a good nose like her mamma (English Shepherd) and can track me down me down any given path.

Amidst her qualities, we have let her keep the job of cleaning out rodents, snakes, or varmints that try to come up for chicken, eggs, and baby livestock... She does her job very well. So, she earns her keep in more ways than one.
In ending her portfolio, she was the best of both worlds when we crossed our English Shepherd with our German Rottweiler producing a larger built “herding dog” with the intelligence and agility of the English Shepherd. We kept the only female of that litter with the intent to eventually breed her back to an English Shepherd to produce ¾ English Shepherd ¼ Rottweiler. She herself is 24'' at the shoulder and has larger bone mass than the purebreds and weighs roughly 70 lbs PHOTOS are of Chloe Belle from puppy-hood to maturity. |
